What wall cladding or wall covering can I put in the bathroom as an alternative to bathroom tiles ?

 

There are a number of bathroom wall panel cladding alternatives available on the market we have looked at a couple of these Plastic panel alternatives and made a summary.

In our opinion.

The negative aspects of bathroom wall panels are as follows –

 

  • You will Need a flat wall if you are sticking directly to tiles or wall.
  • If walls are uneven wall cladding should be fitted on battons.
  • Need to be installed correctly or they will hold water in the corners.
  • Are slightly thicker than tiles.
  • Lower grade wall panels will mark easier than tiles.

 

Overall the positives far outweigh the negatives so in our opinion if it is time for a change the bathroom wet area panels are a really good alternative to Tiles.
